Introducing the "Imperial Wall Lamp" by Eichholtz, a stunning addition to our "Imperial" series inspired by the grandeur of a Greek marble column (ca. 300 B.C.) from the Temple of Artemis at Sardis. This sophisticated lamp boasts a brushed-brass finish and clear glass elements. It complements our "Imperial Chandelier," which likewise evokes the elegance of The Met's fluted Ionic column. Together, they make a cohesive lighting ensemble that transforms your space into a realm of timeless beauty and luxury.
Inspiration
The Wall Lamp Imperial is inspired by a marble column (ca. 300 B.C.) from the Temple of Artemis at Sardis, a highlight of The Met’s Greek and Roman art collection. The massive section of a fluted Ionic column, which stood at over 58 feet tall in its original location, showcases delicate foliate carvings on the capital—a unique feature among the surviving columns from the temple. This wall light boasts elegant ridged elements in homage to the column’s detailing and is crafted with clear glass and a brushed-brass finish.
