Introducing the Desk Wimbledon, a refined piece from The Met x Eichholtz collection. Inspired by an elegant design for a Louis XVI period–style desk (ca. 1900–14), our interpretation characterized by four slender balusters shaped legs and five drawers is finished in a black waxed finish. Its historical charm seamlessly blends with modern sophistication, offering a timeless and elegant addition to your workspace.

Inspiration

The Desk Wimbledon draws inspiration from an exquisite Louis XVI period–style desk (ca. 1900–14) by Mewès and Davis (active London and Paris, from 1900). Characterized  by slender baluster-shaped legs and adorned with details, our vision captures the timeless sophistication of the watercolor over graphite drawing in The Met collection. The influence of the original is evident in our desk's ebony finish and intricate detailing, embodying a legacy of refined artisanship.
