Approximately one meter of clear space should be left in front of glass fronts, so that doors can open and the entire piece of furniture is visible, not just a section.
Light is Half the Effect
Without light, a display cabinet remains a dark box. Interior lighting from above makes glass and crystal shine; warm white light around 2700 Kelvin keeps the tone elegant rather than clinical.
