Monaco presents a unique challenge for furnishing: high demands on limited floor space. This page shows which furniture works well in apartments and penthouses in the Principality and how delivery there is handled. Casa Luxury delivers to Monaco, and consultations can be conducted digitally upon request.
Limited Space, High Demands
Living space is the scarcest resource in Monaco. Therefore, it is not the quantity of furniture that matters, but the selection. A single, well-proportioned sofa with a narrow base, rather than a wide sectional, has proven effective, complemented by two armchairs that can be rotated or rearranged. A large wall mirror in Monaco is not merely a decorative item but a tool: it doubles light and sea views and allows narrow rooms to breathe.
The View Outside Dictates the Color
Almost every prestigious address in the Principality thrives on the light over the water. Light fabrics, alabaster, glass, and brushed brass absorb this light, while dark high-gloss surfaces reflect it harshly. For the middle light level, table lamps on consoles and sideboards are the simplest solution, as they do not require ceiling intervention. Where ceiling mounting is possible, a chandelier above the dining table provides the only focal point the room can accommodate.
Terrace as a Second Living Room
Terraces, loggias, and roof gardens in Monaco are used almost all year round. Salty air and intense sun demand genuine outdoor furniture with weather-resistant frames and UV-stable covers, not indoor furniture placed outdoors. A continuous material concept inside and out makes the small area appear larger, as the eye does not get caught on a style break.
Delivery to Monaco
- Shipping Zone. For logistical reasons, we classify Monaco in the Europe zone outside the EU. Rates are staggered by weight and can be found on the Shipping Costs and Delivery Times page.
- Customs. Monaco belongs to the customs territory of the European Union and is treated like France for VAT purposes. Therefore, import duties, as for deliveries to a third country, do not apply.
- Parcel or Freight Forwarder. Lights, mirrors, and accessories are sent as parcels, large furniture as freight shipments on pallets. For freight goods, the delivery date will be arranged in advance.
- Check Access. Elevator dimensions, stairwells, and access roads in Monaco's existing buildings are often narrow. Please clarify these measurements before ordering a large piece of furniture.
Shipping to Monaco
We deliver to Monaco. The price depends on the shipping weight, which for furniture is calculated from dimensions and packaging. Zone: Europe outside the EU. The prices are gross prices.
| Shipment | Shipping Costs |
|---|---|
| Parcel up to 31.5 kg | €45.90 |
| Freight up to 150 kg | €219.00 |
| Freight up to 300 kg | €273.00 |
| Freight up to 600 kg | €364.00 |
Freight goods are delivered curbside. This means: to the curb in front of the address, not into the apartment and not into the installation room. If delivery to an upper floor is required, please arrange this locally; this page explains what needs to be considered.
Import: Monaco is outside the EU. In addition to shipping costs, customs duties and import VAT, which are borne by the recipient, apply. If prepared, this extends delivery by a few days.
The complete table with all weight categories can be found under Shipping and Delivery, and the timeframes under Delivery Time.
