Marbella and the Golden Mile represent a style of architecture rarely found in Central Europe: open floor plans, high window fronts, and a seamless transition to the outdoors. This page illustrates which furniture works well in such homes and how delivery to the Costa del Sol is handled. Casa Luxury delivers to Spain.
Open Floor Plans Require Zones, Not Walls
A common mistake in furnishing an open villa is placing furniture along the walls. This makes the room appear both empty and noisy. Instead, zones are created by furniture groupings: Rugs define the floor area of a seating island, a sofa with its back facing the dining area forms an invisible partition, and a console table behind the sofa neatly finishes this edge. Two armchairs facing each other transform a row into a conversation area.
Lighting with Abundant Daylight
In homes with large glass surfaces, the challenge is not the brightness during the day, but in the evening. When everything outside darkens, window fronts transform into black mirrors. Multiple small light sources at medium height, rather than a single strong ceiling light, help counteract this. For high rooms, ceiling lights that extend downwards are more suitable than flush-mounted models, and a wall mirror on the side opposite the window brings daylight deep into the house.
Materials for Coastal Climates
- Sun. Direct sunlight over years bleaches textiles and dark woods. Natural tones and solid wood show this less than stained veneers.
- Humidity and Salt. Near the beach, stainless steel, aluminum, and treated teak are significantly superior to untreated metals.
- Vacancy. If the house is only used seasonally, durable surfaces and removable covers are more practical than delicate textiles.
Terrace, Pool, and Courtyard
The outdoor area on the Costa del Sol can be enjoyed year-round. Genuine outdoor furniture with weather-resistant frames can withstand the elements, complemented by planters in a recurring shape that structure the transition from house to garden. When the same metal color and wood type appear both indoors and outdoors, the entire area feels like a single space.
Delivery to Marbella
- EU Shipping Zone. Spain is within our EU zone; tariffs are tiered by weight and can be found on the Shipping Costs and Delivery Times page.
- No Customs. No import duties apply within the EU.
- Transit Time. Freight shipments to southern Spain take longer than deliveries within Germany. The delivery date will be coordinated before dispatch.
- Urbanization. Access to gated communities is often regulated. Clarifying access in advance can prevent a second delivery attempt.
Shipping to Marbella
We deliver to Marbella. The price depends on the shipping weight, which for furniture is calculated from dimensions and packaging. Zone: EU. The prices are gross prices.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Casa Luxury deliver furniture to Marbella?
Yes, Spain is part of our EU shipping zone. Parcel and freight shipments are possible, with costs depending on the weight.
How to furnish an open-plan layout?
Through furniture groupings rather than walls. A rug defines the seating area, a sofa with a visible back separates living and dining, and a console table finishes this edge.
Which materials are durable near the coast?
Stainless steel, powder-coated aluminum, and treated teak. Untreated metals and indoor fabrics suffer from salt air and intense sun.
