In Zurich, high-quality furnishings meet two very different types of properties: old buildings in the city district with stucco and tall windows, and modern lakeside houses with large glass fronts. This page shows what works in both and what needs to be considered when delivering to Switzerland. Casa Luxury delivers to Switzerland.
Old Buildings: Utilize Height, Keep Floors Clear
Tall rooms can accommodate large individual pieces, and indeed demand them. Furniture that is too low can make the ceiling feel oppressive. Therefore, a tall wall mirror or framed wall art in an upright format, a display cabinet with height rather than width, and lighting that extends the room upwards are appropriate here. The floor should remain as clear as possible: furniture on visible legs keeps old buildings feeling light.
Lakeside House: Serenity Against the View
Where the facade showcases a landscape, the interior design should not compete with it. A serene sofa, a coffee table with a stone top, and two armchairs that can be turned towards the window are sufficient as a foundation. For the evening, the mid-level lighting is crucial: floor lamps and table lamps remove the darkness from the window front; a strong ceiling light alone cannot achieve this.
The Dining Table is the Main Furniture Piece in Zurich
Hardly any piece of furniture is kept as long as a good dining table. Solid wood, marble, or a combined top on a sturdy frame will last for decades, complemented by dining chairs with upholstery that can be cleaned. A console table in the entrance area and a rug with a suitable edge length complete the area.
Delivery to Switzerland
- Shipping Zone. Switzerland is located in our Europe (outside the EU) zone. Rates are tiered by weight and can be found on the Shipping Costs and Delivery Times page.
- Import. Switzerland is not part of the EU customs territory. Import tax and, if applicable, customs duties will be incurred upon import; these charges are borne by the customer. The shipping documents are included with the shipment.
- Parcel or Freight Forwarder. Lights, mirrors, and accessories are sent as parcels, while large furniture items are sent as freight shipments on pallets with a pre-arranged appointment.
- Check Access. In old buildings, stairwells and elevators are often narrow. Please measure the passage width and elevator depth before ordering a large piece of furniture.
Shipping to Zurich
We deliver to Zurich. The price depends on the shipping weight, which for furniture is calculated based on dimensions and packaging. Zone: Europe outside the EU. The prices stated are gross prices.

Freight goods are delivered curbside. This means to the curb in front of the address, not into the apartment or the designated room. If delivery to an upper floor is required, please arrange this locally; this page provides information on what to consider.
Import: Switzerland is outside the EU. In addition to shipping costs, customs duties and import VAT are borne by the recipient. If prepared in advance, this extends delivery by only a few days.

Who bears customs duties and import taxes for a delivery to Zurich?
The customer. Switzerland is not part of the EU customs territory, so duties are incurred upon import. The necessary papers are included with the shipment.
