The Old Town of Vilnius is one of the largest Baroque old towns in Northern Europe. The apartments within it have thick walls, irregular layouts, and staircases not built for furniture. Adjacent to it stands a modern new construction market beyond the Neris River.

Thick walls, cold surfaces
Massive walls remain cool in winter. Upholstered furniture directly against an exterior wall feels damp, rugs on stone or wooden floors absorb the cold. A distance of a few centimeters from the wall is usually sufficient.
Dry winter air
As in all of Northeast Europe, heating air is low in winter. Veneered panels and stone are the quieter choice, solid wood requires attention >> oak. For delivery: first measure the staircase, then order.
